Cornowser

It is intended to be a fast, modern and inituitive browser.

A free, open source and cool browser!
The browser itself is ad-free and doesn't have any pro version.

Cornowser can be installed on Android 4.0.3 and above. But you may experience bugs/crashes if you use it in android versions prior to 4.3. It has been tested on KitKat, Lollipop and Marshmallow and works on these.

What?? The development is currently active and we are trying to release new versions frequently.

Which license does your app have?
Well, it's the MIT license. See more on this page on GitHub.

What can I do with the source code and the app itself?
Feel free to distribute the app to your friends, family and colleagues. But don't create mirrors, mine are more than enough. If you want to create mirrors anyways or if you have a suggestion for publishing it in an app store, please tell me about it. You can also use the source code to create your own browser but don't forget to mention me and clearly include proper credits to me and my development. Don't take the source code, modify it and say it's fully yours. It isn't. And that would be "Backspaceware".

Alright. Can you give some credits to the authors of your dependencies?
You can see them in the settings of the app. Big thanks to rey5137 for his excellent Material Library, as well as to Apache for the useful Apache Commons library. We use Crosswalk as rendering engine which is based on Chromium, which is also the base for Google Chrome. We also use the AppCompat library.

Is this a derivate/fork or continuation of UltimateBrowserProject?
No, I started this project from scratch. We want to integrate some useful features into Cornowser, so you might find some features which you already have found in UBP. I work together with Thunderbottom on this browser. The main work is done by me and Thunderbottom is supporting me. Thanks a lot!

Which android version is Cornowser best compatible with?
You get the best experience if you use KitKat (4.4) or higher. But we try to make Cornowser also compatible with lower versions. You need at least Android 4.0.3, which is Ice Cream Sandwich (API 15). Cornowser was tested on KitKat (4.4.2), Lollipop (5.1.1) and Marshmallow (6.0.1).

I am a ROM developer and I want to include this app in my ROM. What to do?
Feel free to include the app in your ROM. But please tell me first about it.

Changelog:
If you are using root, please wait a minute and start the app yourself if it doesn't automatically.
