Thumbs down AppDowner didn't work, & turns out I didn't need it.
On a Galaxy S3 with Android 4.1.2, I tried to use this to revert an app (Aldiko e-book reader 3.0.6 to 3.0.4). When clicking to revert, it immediately said "Complete" but did nothing - Aldiko was still version 3.0.6. I ended up just clicking the APK file directly & installing, which even told me that it would preserve program data, which it did. Opened Aldiko and program is now the old version. A) This program doesn't seem to work & B) There's no need to use it (at least in this case).

Even if u do then...it will force u to install newer build as each build has a timeout of 30days...if we keep on using it then it Wont even open...unless u update it

Tried with hangouts app on Lollipop (downgrade to 2.1) and it doesn't change anything, even though the result was "successfully installed". Is there any chance to upgrade the app to work with Lollipop ? (I have root access)

Downgrade Google Play Newsstand to v3.2.1?
Is it possible to downgrade Google Play Newsstand from v3.3.1 (October 2014) to v3.2.1 (May 2014) using this app? I've downloaded the v3.2.1 apk, the app has root access, it says "Successfully Installed," but it doesn't appear to affect anything.

Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

I also tried this, and nothing happene, however I tried sideloading the app like this:

Quote:

adb install -d -r newstand321.apk

Which "works" but the app is still broken (it is 3.2.1) ut I can't use it because of an authentication issue...

I can't speak to your authentication issue, but I was able to get 3.2.1 working by uninstalling updates from Settings ->Apps -> Google Play Newsstand, then I downloaded an old 3.2.1 apk (Google "[APK] Google Play Newsstand Updated to 3.2.1"), installed it, and it worked! All my magazines were there, I just had to re-download them from the server.
