How to Root and Flash a Custom Recovery in Alcatel Devices, Without PC!

Hi Guys,

This is the easiest method to root and flash a custom recovery on Alcatel devices and some other MTK phones. Remember, I am not responsible for what may happen to your device after rooted. First investigates about the root, its pros and cons.

How to Root?

STEPS:

1.- Download Framaroot ( download the latest) and install.

2.- Open Framaroot and select the following action: Install SuperSU.
Then select an exploit available for your device, as can be: Boromir, Faramir, Barahir...(In my case is only available Boromir)

3.- A popup saying "Success ... Superuser and su binary installed. You have to reboot your device". Congratulations your device is already rooted!

4.- Reboot your device and you will see that you already have installed SuperSU

Now the device is already rooted, you can also check with this app.

How to Flash a Custom Recovery?

Before you follow these steps, you must have downloaded a custom recovery developed for your device. If you don't have one, search in Google or xda threads for you device.

STEPS:

1.- Download Flashify here or here and Install.

2.- Open Flashify and give permission that this request

3.- Accept disclaimer and go to "Flash" option and select "Recovery Image"

4.- Then select "Choose a File" option

5.- Now choose your favorite file explorer and navigate inside folders until you find the recovery image previously downloaded

6.- Select your downloaded recovery image and a pop-up will appear saying "Flash Recovery?" and click "Yup!" and now wait.

7.- If it was successful, a window will appear saying that the installation was completed. Reboot Now.

Now you already have a custom recovery installed and rooted your Alcatel phone. Congratulations!
