Huawei Ascend G600 (U8950D) Help Thread (ROMs, Mods etc.)

There is a new Baidu ROM (49) with Gapps. On my U8950D it runs more smooth then the previous one (46, see http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=51805691&postcount=922). On the previous version, I had a lot of crashes of the Home screen, leading to waiting times before Home came back. In the new one, I still see some of these crashes but the device recovers directly.

hey buddies i got baidu music player in english version completely translated its not my task but work fine just replace with old apk in system/app with permission.
and i want some modification and translate apk for this rom...this rom indeed best ever rom for u8950 d.. may some one help for this issues
1. need Russian character as call location in dial code to be in English with correct country name
2.need gallary calender month name is to be change in english
3 need theme apk and boot animation apk in english translation

Deciphering G600 Codes

Does anyone know the difference between these models?

HUAWEI U8950-1
HUAWEI U8950D
HUAWEI U8950N-1
HUAWEI U8950N-51

They are all supported by google play, but not sure what those suffixes stand for. Maybe radio capabilities?

U means it works on UMTS
-1 works on 900/2100 band
-51 works on 850/1900/2100 bands
D is the Chinese model

The HUAWEI U8950N-51 model is supposed to be the US and Australian model but only has a single English (US) language/region selection.
This English language/region limitation can be overcome by installing an app called "Language Enabler" which will allow you to select ENGLISH within your region/country and thus ensure the phone works correctly for your country.

You can easilyROOT any of these and most all Huawei phones by downloading and installing "Kingo Android Root" onto your computer.
Best of all Kingo can also UNROOT the phone as well :good:

You say best rom ever: I still have two issues:
1) GPS is sometimes weak/lost
2) Battery drawns faster than stock rom/miui rom

here is every thing fine. ..perhaps u should to be optimise setting for battery life and search xda or 4pda foram gps problem as country wise setting ...gps.conf file in etc folder of system folder

Can someone link me a stock systemui,apk with notification toggles?
I flashed the B961 rom and some features disappeared like notification toggles and powersaving mode.
My device is Huawei G600 ( U8950-1 )

Hello all,
I used to be quite happy with the Baidu ROM 49 on my U8950D, But still I get a few reboots everytime when I seem to be in an area where my SIM1 provider has weak signals.
So my question is: which ROM is most stable? Please share your experiences!

I can't unlock my bootloader, Huawei's website doesn't have G600/U8950-1 in the list for the unlock bootloader. Any help? Thanks.

hey guys,
I have a have an ascend g600 but mine is the u8950N-51 version, I flashed successfully this
http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=38826978&postcount=651 MIUI ROM. The ROM is working lovely even though our devices are of different models.

When i first flashed the ROM, superuser was blocked - it was like my phone wasn't even rooted. If you are having this problem, before flashing the ROM, delete 'LBESEC_MIUI.apk' in system, apps, using winrar or 7-zip. 'LBESEC_MIUI.apk' is MIUI's own security app. After deleting 'LBESEC_MIUI.apk', go to system, xbin then delete the su binary (the file is called 'su' ) then flash the ROM. Once finished flashing the rom in cwm, reboot recovery flash this http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1663222.
