So I recently started putting video files (downloaded from a wifi camera) onto my SD card because I have space there.

However when I run any app that knows how to show videos they are no where to be found.

What I end up having to do is use a file browser, find the file on the SD card, and then let it open with a video viewer.

That works, but why are they not being found as video files??

Reset media...(german name by me) under settings, apps, all. Or use mediascanner from playstore.

I found "Media" as a running process. All I seem to be able to do is a force stop.

I have rebooted my device and that didn't seem to find them.
