The modem is a fax modem, if you use through the bootloader (see

odem (http://xda-developers.com/modem) ). From the device, it should (we haven't done any
tests) behave as a fax modem through TAPI.
There is ommercial fax software available for Pocket PC, we
currently do not know if these packages must use AT commands or
can go through TAPI.
Talking to the modem directly from Pocket PC without TAPI in the
way remains an interesting topic.

We just checked, and TAPI does not know about fax capabilities
of the modem, even though the GSM part seems to be a fax modem.

Just got off the phone with KSE Software. They would like people
to wait and not download what's offered at the deep link above.
The software needs a special DLL, which one is dependent on
whether it's an O2 XDA or T-Mobile MDA. They are working on a
page describing everything, and will report as soon as things
are ready for general download.
The demo at the link above, indeed, does not work as it
is.

some other device?becaue i see a modem type in my device.it
say:serial on usb,serial cable on com2 ,irda modem and so on.i
do not know how to use it.Do i need a connector?thanks a
