Hello xda developers,

Last week my Compaq Aero died (i know; wrong forum, but bear with me) and I started looking around for what's available on the market that suits my needs. My g/f owns an Ipaq (with Tom Tom navigator) and that seems pretty cool but on the other hand I have a phone as well and I hate carrying around all these gadgets. So I summed up some of my requirements:

phone
agenda (synchronised with outlook on PC)
contacts (also sync-ed)
gps navigator capable
and of course: nifty looking, cheap, etc etc.

While surfing I ran into the XDA which seems to do all that but I can't find documentation about Tom Tom navigator. What I would really like is the speech feature that the Ipaq has. I know Tom Tom can, but can the XDA do that as well?

Thanks,
Climber

hmm, after reading the specs again I see on the o2 site it has MP3 capabilities, which gives me a better feeling about speech support but any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Own experience is even better!

thanks again,

Hello Climber.

What have you meant with speech feature?
Have you menat, that the Tomtom tells you where to drive or something else.
The XDA does support this feature.

XDA supports most applications that iPAQ does. The ONLY limitation I've reached is in the application buttons (on iPAQ there are 4)

Stefan, Zviratko,

Indeed I was referring to the function where Tom Tom tells me where to go. My g/f calls it the electronic female (always telling what to do) but she is a sexist anyway ;-)

So Stefan has answered my question and Zviratko has taken away the last doubts.......

I ordered one today and hopefully it arrives next week.

I can't wait. Thanks again,
Robert
