I now the function to increase the volume but I need the function that set the speaker phone on that is when there is a call you press the phone button for a short period and it will activate the speaker phone
The function for manipulating a voice volume is
Public Declare Function waveOutSetVolume Lib "Coredll" (ByVal uDeviceID As Long, ByVal dwVolume As Long) As Long
Dim i
i = waveOutSetVolume(0, 65535)
this will set the volume to the maximum

Not noticing this thread, I created a new one. I would like to know as well :).
I put a question to the MS news groups, smartphone i think, and got a reply that it's through an unpublished API. I don't think there is anything in the RIL about the hands free / speaker phone.
I did find some reference to the oddly named function 'phoneSetHookSwitch' which mensioned something about switching on a Speaker phone. But I never got the 'phoneOpen' call to work, and now I can't find any reference to the phone* functions... So what they were will remain a mistory.
If anybody out there knows this magic bullet, to Get/Set the speaker phone, please reply in this thread!
Thanks,
Ben
PS, in a bored moment, I extracted all the plane-text from the 'Handsfree.exe' program, which displays the Handsfree icon in the top boarder. The idea being the the speaker phone may be controled by posting messages, and these might be recorded. Although RemoteSpy seems to show nothing.
Its probably of no help. but this is it:
