Using XDA as modem -- GPRS modem?

Hi,

I was reading about "using XDA as a modem" at this url:

Question -- in this setup, can you use the XDA as GPRS modem?
Or do you have to do a voice call and run data at 9,600 bps?

Will there ever be a driver to use XDA as GPRS modem like other GPRS phones?

Probably, although we haven't expermented beyond regular data calls. If you use the proper AT commands to tell the phone about your network, access point name and such, it should all work.

Who knows... A lot depends on whether we get an easy way to talk to the modem directly on the device.
