Dear Customer,

During the development of KSE Truefax for the MDA/XDA some problems emerged with the different versions of firmware on the devices as well as with the different worldwide GSM networks of various providers (T-Mobile, Voicestream, O2, Vodafone, etc.).

While we achieved good results in most cases within the D2 Vodafone network (depending on the ROM version of the device), the success rate has been too small within the T-Mobile and O2 network, for us to publish the version right now.

During the communication setup within both GSM networks we received errors, because the modems (internal modem of the MDA/ XDA and modem of the receiving fax device) searched to connect to each other unsuccessfully, because they were unable to find a "nominal value". Only very few times the communication was faultlessly established.

At the moment we only have one MDA and XDA device and therefore we are only able to test our software with one specific ROM version in each case. Some of our potential customers tested KSE Truefax with other ROM versions. We have found out Truefax react very differently when used on devices with different ROM versions. This even went so far that Truefax caused a SIM-Lock barrier with some devices and this error could only be resolved if a software uninstallation was carried out.

Moreover we had to find out that some SIM cards or even whole GSM networks (like O2- Netherlands) deactivated the fax services, so that not even the fax dispatch was possible. In order for us to have been able to obtain this information, we had to make several calls to the network carrier support services.
At this time we are in touch with T-Mobile (Germany) and O2 and hope to solve these problem with their aid and support. However, we cannot make a statement about when these problems can be solved since this is strongly dependent on the cooperation and support of the network providers.

Please note: The a.m. problems occurs with the combination TD1/O2 German GSM net and the MDA/XDA.
The version for the Asian market offered by O2 is at this time exclusively for the Asian O2 GSM net only. A worldwide publication of our KSE Truefax Phone Edition, which does not run perfectly on your device, would annoy you as a customer even more as if we did not offer the version at the moment. Due to the fact that we are missing important information and support from the network providers, we are unable to give you any support.

Therefore our management - after thorough discussions - decided yesterday not to publish our KSE Truefax Phone Edition for an indefinite time (until all problems are solved). Since you are a registered potential customer for the Truefax Phone Edition, you will be notified as soon as we have new information in this regard. We would like to ask you to refrain from sending us emails on this regard, which we are unable to answer.

We must admit that we had thought to be able to solve these problems with only minor support from the providers. This was a coarse misjudgement. We are dependent on the support by the network providers and only through a reliable cooperation it will be possible to support the Pocket PC Phone devices.

If you are planning to download a trial version of the Asian O2 XDA Truefax to test with your XDA (outside of Asia) we are unable to give you any support. Support inquiries need to be sent directly to O2 Asia. Should you have already purchased the KSE Truefax 2.0 Pocket PC version under the assumption that it will run with your Pocket PC Phone, then please contact the respective customer support and require a refund or credit for this purchase.

However, we also need YOUR SUPPORT as a potential customer. In order for the various worldwide network providers to notice KSE Truefax and in order to inform them that using fax software on your device is essential to you, we ask you to send an email to your network provider in order for them to contact us. Only if you as a customer express that it is important for you to use a fax software on your device and that the provider combines this use of a fax software with generating "airtime"
- a profit for the provider - we will be supported efficiently.
