View Full Version : Incoming Call causes lock-up

When the XDA has not been used for a while the pda pin request kicks in. Now my problem lies like this, I think...

I answer an incoming call. Hang up when finished. Then the PDA pin request kicks in (because the device is switched on of course). Now I just switch it off. Then I go to switch it back on and I can't. The little light flashes to say that it is working. But the on button doesn't work.

As this requires somebody to call in, PDA pin-locked, and phone answered it is not a regular occurance. I am very positive that this is somehow linked. The above exact situation happened last night.

Anybody else have something simlarly strange occur like this...

My ROM is 3.02.00 ENG 05/27/02
Radio 4.01
Protocol 324e2

Any ideas or reports of something similar out there...

Martin

Given that your firmware is rather old, I would upgrade to 3.15.15 and see if the problem is gone.

But you haven't told us what state is in when the power on switch doesn't work anymore. Does a warm reset help, or only a cold? Does it still go to bootloader mode?

Just a quick soft reset and I'm on my way again. I'm used to my XDA having to be rest every few hours. Just a fact of life for using vomputer hardware!!
I have tried Linux a little bit, but it just seems a little too long winded for me. why invent the GUI then go back to entering code!!!

I await the British o2 update.. I don't have a serial cable, maybe later..
