Just to let you know that the settings provided by Vodafone Ireland DO work perfectly, BUT not in all areas of Dublin !!!

For days I was getting the message that there was no answer from the number dialed when trying to connect to the GPRS network but Vodafone Data Centre couldn't figure it out until I told them that it works perfectly in some parts of the city. They are now investigating a potential GPRS problem with some of their cells. I have found them to be very helpful if you need asistance.

Turn the number into text if it's unclear - the xda phone keypad should help

Has anyone managed to get Vodafone GPRS working properly around Dublin ? I have used all the settings provided by their Data Centre but can't get it to work. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I have just unlocked my XDA II (PPC2003) and inserted my 087 Vodafone SIM. GPRS is working fine but when connected to GPRS and I either make or receive a voice call the GPRS connection is dropped. when I try to re-connect it tells me that the answering modem is not responding (isp.vodafone.ie). I need to soft-boot the device or turn wireless off then on again to be able to re-connect to GPRS. Anyone had this and can anyone help solve it.
