ok...
my plight is recorded here....
http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=8668
the bottom line to the story is that I can now get connected to GPRS...
but normally only at 3am in the morning on a Sunday when I'm going to work... or occasionally in other places of Glasgow...
living in sh*tesville (Stewarton, Scotland) I have a bloomin great big BT rigg in the centre of town... reception isnt a problem...
anyone have any idea what it could be? the 'town' has 12k people max...
*occasionally* a 'G' appears next to the reception icon.... for a little while and then disapears.. is this documented? wtf is it? GPRS I ASSUME.
also... I get an ickle G icon within the network 'bubble' when I press on the reception icon... is this the same thing?
when these icons are displayed... I'm still not guaranteed a connection, normally it just sits there trying to connect and then fails...
cheers,
Ian.
