Application to toggle power to phone/rf module.

Hi,

Does anyone know of an application which can be used to toggle power (i.e. activate & deactivate) to the phone without 'tapping' on the phone Icon ?

Alternatively, does anyone know how to do it ? - extended Tapi commands ?

I dont know of any application - but you can turn the phone on and off by holding down the "hang up" hardware button to the right of the d-pad at the bottom of the screen for a few seconds.

Actually, this doesn't seem to completely turn off the *whole* radio I don't believe. It may turn off the RF portion, but it doesn't do everthing.

In the early versions of the T-Mobile PPCPE on the USA network, my device (and others) would frequently give up making and receiving calls etc. Turning the radio off/on or doing a soft reset sometimes helped, but interestingly opening the SIM door would always do the business. It appears that opening the SIM door powers down even more of the radio side of the phone, and (obviously) makes it do more afterward like re-reading the SIM etc.

Anyway...just thought I'd throw that observation out there ...
