Not sure about silver, but I have the black one and it's quite nice (good key-feel etc), but totally unusable becuase of simple bad design. An extra row of 'special function' (read: semi-useless) keys should be put somewhere out of the way, not between the spacebar and the zxcvbnm row.
As a suitable punishment, whoever designed the layout of these keys should be bodily attached with extra-strength superglue to the person at Compaq who decided to ship keyboards with the space bar split into two, one half working as a backspace key.

I couldn't agree more!
I have a black one, and it is certainly slower to use than most thumb keyboards I've had in the past, partly because of those 'special keys' being in a daft spot.
..that coupled with the fact my 'Fn' (like a shift) keeps getting flipped on when I type fast, and sometimes won't turn off until I reset my XDA, since the keyboard driver 'goes to lunch'. Anyone else seen this? (my driver is G3B0 v1.28 build 1127)

Oh, in that case, no idea!
Anybody looked into customising this little round widget?
It would be nice to be able to replace it with a homebrew one that was actually ergonomic. I.e. good for games ;)

even after all the bad reviews of the thumbpads, I still would mind trying one out. (if they work with the XDA2, different body shape to the XDA1??) I know I'll probably regret the purchase like everyone else but is anyone wanting to offload a thumbpad cheap? incidentally I bought a Pocket Top IR keyboard but apparently there isn't a driver for the XDA2.
Cheers
