I`ve recently bought the haicom gps mouse after hearing excellent reviews on this site. It works perfectly, but is there a way to power the mouse via the xda (so i can us it other than in the car) the model is hi-203e. its the one where its normally powered through the car fag lighter. thanks a lot...top site

GPS receivers generally use more power than the XDA can supply: Although the Haicom seems not too hungy from what I gather on the web (<90 mA @ 4.5-5.5 V), I doubt the XDA's power-out pin can source that.
At the very least, it would dramatically reduce battery life.

Buy a cable that will power both the XDA and the GPS in the car. That's what I did.
