SMS nbame fix on SE 1.1

Does the SE 1.1 ROM version contain the fix to see names in received SMS messages?

the fix comes from the radio stack and not the ROM

Actually it does come from the ROM. ROM version 3.17.03 contains the SMS name fix.

Try to the avoid 3.16.52, it's got a real nasty SMS bug.

I upgraded my ROM with SER 1.2 last night, surprisingly I could do it, and it work verywell. The SMS that I received came out with the sender's name and number. But those that does not have the format +countrycodeand areacode did not come out.

Does anyone experience the same thing?

I am happy with SER 1.2 though, thanks to Jeff.

Yeah for it to work all your mobile numbers need changing to +44 (for england) instead of 0.

but don't change your landline numbers as mine tend to mess up the incoming calls.
