Hello,
I tried to upgrade my XDA french with the new ROM 1.2 but I get the error : unsupported language 'FRA'
I read about adaptROM.exe but not sure what I have to do and if the current version will work with french ?
What I have to do to flash my XDA ? :D
Thx

Can I take the .nbf extract from the XDA-developers-SER-v12.exe and use xdarit to write into a sd-card.
Then flash my XDA using bootloader ?
Is it a solution to avoid the language problem ?

apparently there are some language differences between programme-a versions, some use 'FRE' some use 'FRA', adaptrom tries to modify the rom so the english programme-a will assume the nbf to be correct.
until someone modifies adaptrom to support different language versions of programme-a, I think using xdarit is the easiest way. ( again warning, to leave the bootloader checkbox unchecked! ).

Thx for your answer.
I anticipated it and tried with the WM2003 nk.nbf and xdarit (old veriosn) and it worked. Just want to try the WM2003 first but I will put the ROM 1.2 after.
So for french user using xdarit works with WM2003 rom.
I will confirm the same with the 1.2 rom as soon as I try.

No I have the XDA french version (l'ipda de bouygues) and wanted to flash it, to get the latest version (WM2003 or the XDA dev rom 1.2)
I don't care to have it in english. Using the jeff's exe didn't work but using the xdarit method works (now I have the WM2003 rom)

ok i do understand now cause i always have used mine with the english version (i dont bother to use it in english too)
i ve read the IPDA is only 32 MB RAM, info or intox ?
cause 32 MB does not allow to upgrade in ppc2003
(perso j'utilise la 2003 depuis 15 j et c'est ... un autre xda que je découvre notamment gprs always on)

The french version of the XDA (the ipda from Bouygues) has only 32Mb RAM. But the Rom size is only important to upgrade no ?
Well, the WM2003 upgrade worked, but now I put the XDA dev rom 1.2.
Because I had bad reception, bad sync ...and some trouble with 2003.
Will wait the XDA dev Rom based on WM2003 ;)
By the way thx to the XDA dev guys, your rom is wonderfull !

For Bouygues Ipda owners, I put a cooked rom based on WM2003 4.00.05 (thx to the XDA dev Kitchen) and it works good.
No more active sync problem, good GSM reception, and for the moment no bug...
Got now new SMS counter, separate system and phone sounds... :)

I’m stuck with a stick French ROM 3.16 which I installed on to of a 3.19 English ROM to test and see. :(
From your experience, I understand that I should be able to overcome the FRA language error using the XDArit method.
Before I proceed, can you please confirm the following?
1. In order to use the XDArit method I must have an SD card reader?
2. XDATools will not do the job.
