Have recently upgraded my xda to wm2003. This version allows you to change the band under phone options. I mistakably set it to USA 1900 which has stopped my phone from working. It seems to have changed the Model No: to PW10B1 which prevents me from reloading my ROM. Has anyone done this and resolved the problem?

I have two suggestions one is to re-install one of the the XDA Dev. SR 1.1 or 1.2 :lol: the other is a hard reset! :(

hard reset, new rom... both will not work!
solution: (caution this will be followed by a hardreset, so all data on your device will be lost). Go into the Bootloader (press power button and do a softreset), press calendar button and choose your desired gsm mode with your joystick-button... then press in the middle (action button)....this will do a hard reset and your phone will be ok! but dont ever use the "band"-portion of the phone setup application!

Confirming the built-in/added XDA-Dev SER band switching tool doesn't' work or wouldn't have do the trick?
<snip>
Band switching tool included
900/1900 phones have a special tab in the Phone section of the control panel to switch between 900 and 1900 bands. We have included our own tool bandswitch.exe, which is available as 'GSM Band' in the Programs menu. Our tool can switch between all three possibilities supported by the device: 900, 1900 and 900/1800 dual band. No guarantees as to whether your device will really be able to use 1900 if it's a PW10A or 1800 if it's a PW10B, but you can at least try now.

Ok, I've installed the v1.2 version of the ROM in order to _maybe_ be able to switch to 1800 band, which my provider uses in NL.
I have the PW10B1 model. Since I installed the v1.2 ROM, in device info it says PW10A1 iso B1. That would not matter too much, if I would be able to switch to 900/1800, which isn't the case.
I've tried both the band switching tool in the programs menu, and the bootloader thingy, but both wouldn't work, I keep getting 'no signal'. Anyway know if it's really possible to change the band to 900/1800 with a B1 model???
thanx,
Alef

The above procedure solve my problem. Thanks a lot
By the way I lost all my data but at least I can now used my phone feature again. BACKUP or SYNC you DATA before doing the above procedure
