Hi

Wonder if anyone has this experience? Read that some folks had difficulty installing ver 1.2 when running Jeff's exe with win 98. I also uses win98 and would appreciate some input to this problem if indeed there is one. Can anyone who has used Jeff's exe for ver 1.2 tell me how long it takes approximately to run for the installation? (ie 5 mins ? ) Just like to know before getting all panicky half way during the process.

Cheers

Vic

The process should take about 5 minutes, but then I've only used Jeff's exe on Windows XP. Anyone successfully use it on 98 ?

Myself and another member here have both been stuck trying to upgrade using jeffs exe on 98. I have NT at work but not admin privilage to install activesync. So I am going to have to wait until I get to a friends with XP.

Can confirm that Jeff's exe does not work under WIN98.
I followed all the same procedures on a 2000 OS machine and now have a successful update.

BY the way - don't think it can be said enough!! Everyone here Rocks!!

Now all I have to do is break my contract with the positively useless CO2!

Hi guys

Thanks for reply. Did you say that you have used Win 2000 OS and it works for Jeff's exe file?

Wonder if anyone has used Jeff's exe file(ver 1.0; ie the first SER) with Win 98 and had any problems? I may have to use the older SER if it works with Win 98 or go thru the process of upgrading my OS.

Cheers

before you update your OS - although you should probably do it anyway - try updating activsync to the latest version. This may make a difference.
