have had a look at the jtag page very helpfull so you guys have made a very expensive rom flashing tool can you now remove the bios chip and put it into another xda if this is the case you therefore can repair xda and earn quite a lot of money if this is the case is it possible to send you my dead xda for a bios rom swap keep up the good work guys you are nearly there

your sentence seems to be missing some punctuation.
why would it be expensive? a couple of wires and a d25 connector?
you cannot send us your xda, we have enough things to do already.

So we found the missing bit for successfully flashing the XDA! Now the drawback is that the pkoe command is not yet present in the jtag 0.4 release. For that reason I created a small patch to version 0.4 that takes care of flipping the bit just before erasing and writing of the flash. You can download the patch here.

The above text is from the jtag info page. Although it says "you can download the patch here", I cannot find the link.

Hi,

The patch is not there and the page needs some updating. However, in the meantime several new versions of the jtag software have become available at http://openwince.sourceforge.net/jtag/.

Unfortunately I have had mixed results with these new versions. I'm not sure if it is my XDA or the software, but detection has become less reliable and the XDA seems to reset after detecting the flash. If you also have trouble with the new versions I can make a patch for an older version.
