Is there some software for PockePC, that would emulate "USB Mass Storage Device"? I want to use my XDA as mobile memory and want to be usable everywhere without installing drivers on PC computer.

I found this while looking for something else.
It may be what you are looking for.

No, this is the other way around: it makes host-enabled PPC devices talk to disks, it doesn't make the PPC a disk. And the XDA cannot do host mode, so we can't use it...

Well, you could carry a USB infrared adapter with you everywhere you go! Infrared works quite well for just file transfers.

Hi guys,

I've found the best solution for this kind of thing is to get a usb-key like the Sandisk Cruzer which accepts SD cards. The biggest advantage is speeeeed. I use it to transfer my files to the XDA instead of activesync because it is so much faster. Easy to carry around too ;)

Mine came with a 256mb card for AU$160 (about 65 uk pound or approx US$100).

Why not carry a usb sd card reader writer, it is autodetected, no software needed and is the simplest way of tranferring files between multiple machines. And its cheap.

this one is usb2 but it looks a bit larger

i think they also have some mem even without a sdram in them
like an usbkeyring but i'm not sure

i have the sandisk cruzer 128mb

i usually leave it in my car... if i ever goto a friends house or to work on someones pc, i can run out to the car and grab 128mb to take with me. hell of alot easier than using multiple floppies or burning a cd just to transfer a few files...

definately a cool product thow. especially transfering things to a card that can be used in the xda cause they both use the same card.

cruzer even works on my apple ibook g4.

i think now they sell them with 256mb cards...
