View Full Version : Missing Com port

I cooked a wm2003 rom in the kitchen, downloaded it and it worked ok but I didnt like it very much, then used my sd card with the original O2 rom and boot to reflash, all fine, installed Tomtom, which ran fine. I then decided to cook a xda developers rom with all the bits, once flashed I installed tomtom, "com port doesnt exist" error, I had already unchecked the box in settings/beam so it isnt that, I have reflashed twice, same problem. No other programs are installed or running besides those that are in the cooked rom. I have now gone back to O2 rom as I need my gps software. Any ideas?

I have now reflashed with an earlier cooked kitchen rom and it works fine, weird.

which rom did you flash to get it to work? i have the same problem with my xda using rom 3.17.03 ENG and radio 4.21.00.

I found out later that it was probably the "folding keyboard" driver that did it, if you are using tomtom navi make sure that under settings/connections/beams that the box under beams is not checked or it will never work. By the way I reflashed to Special Edition rom 1.2.

I the "folding keyboard" driver That was going to be my second guess, after the Irda port. The keyboard driver ties up the port, since it's typically in the startup folder.
