I have heard conflicting information on this. I have heard that the XDA II can support a SDIO wi-fi card using the built-in SDIO slot.. I have also heard that the XDA II has a slot under the battery cover designed for a wi-fi module. Which one, or possibly both, are correct?

Hey Applecom, where did you get the Sandisk SDIO Wifi card from, and how much did it cost?

I got one at CompUSA. They cost $137.79 incl. Tax
But it wont work in my dang XDA. I will have to wait for XDA II
I am sure I heard someone say that there IS a card out there somewhere that will make this thing WiFi capable. I wish I knew who made it... and how they did it.
Now that McDonalds is offering WiFi for FREE, I need this!!!

58 quid for the SDIO card sounds excellent but since it's coming from the US, if customs people nab it, VAT will be charged as well as a stupid customs charge of around 15-20 quid making it very similar to a UK price.
Anyone buying from that eBay shop get 'caught' by customs?

From the last 6 months i have been purchasing stuf from blueproton (ebay) i normally get about £250 of SD memory cards and recently some SD WiFi cards we use a $25 Fed Ex letter its always here 2 days after he posts Customes have not been intrested i have had 9 or 10 shipments.
He will use a $5 USPS envalope if you just have 1 SD WiFi Card i have also used them befor when having thing sent here to the UK and have also been lucky with customes, But when i have a "parcel" rather than a letter size envalope customes always seem to get it and charge me

I read some reviews that the SD wifi cards were much slower than other wifi cards, something to do with SD cards not properly being designed to access speeds of upto 10Mb (not byte) per second.
Anyhow, pehaps you wouldnt need hi speed connections for your usage. There are some nice sandisk wifi cards out now, with combined storage and wifi support.
