1.ROM: 64MB -No already got WM2003 installed
RAM: 128MB -Good but all my programs currently work well from SD.

2.TFT-LCD 16bit
-Current screen is ok can read avantgo/ebooks for hours no problem, check the screen will be just as comfortable.
-Good for photos but only have small snaps in the SD makes so not much different.
-Games looking better but could it be slower due to more pixels to move around?

3.Triband -Good but dont use it.

4.Camera Module -Good can send fun snaps and MMS from the field, update blog with pictures. Alternative to take digicam along, use SD to CF converter to transfer pics.
Not a swivel camera so no video phone applications.

5.SDIO wifi -Good but wont do too much wifing because battery will run down and surfing full sites wont be much fun with the small display.
Will the slot be damaged with too much pulling in out of the wifi card?
Cost of the sd wifi card?
Cool to sync avantgo wirelessly when outside.

6.Bluetooth eh dont use them .BT headset?

What would really make me jump:
1.640X480 screen or even 320x480
2.Abliity of os to use landscape mode for all applications

Would be interesting to hear from other people why you are upgrading.
What the new functions offer them.
What do they do with them.

I am happy with my 64 meg xda with 256 meg sd card. In fact I bought another one brand new in box for £150 uk, the reason being, I use it for satnav, phone, wap, book reader etc etc and really wouldnt be too happy if the one I have "no warranty", stops working, it pays to be prepared and at that price I can afford to.

Yup know what you mean.
I was thinking along the same line about getting a spare the other day. A 9 mths old xda came onto a forum for 115 of your pounds and there was a big rush for it and I just missed out.
I would cry if my current Xda died and I have dropped it 4-5 times already. :)

It takes money to be singing that tune and I am very happy with what I have, I can understand people wanting the latest and greatest and also those that need the extra gizmo's, however the xda as is a fine piece of machinery as it is, maybe I will get an xda2 when the xda3 is launched...cheap.

I think the biggest disappointment is the not having a 340x480 and landscape switchable screen.
Have you seen the Tungsten T3 screen Yet ahhhhhhh.
MS is not getting any of my money for any ppc device until I get that.

there IS a program called JS LANDSCAPE 3, i think.
that will give you landscape.

im also happy with my xda 64meg 256 sd card :D
coupled with a full size foldble keyboard, sd camera, GPS nav and a SiPix IR printer :D its a full pc lol.

i AM saving money for that 1Gig sd card tho, i like to have my large collection of mp3s and video clips... Dell computers is the cheapest, $280 now. well worth it, i think.

Not the same and it slows down the browser.
But having second thoughts on the T3 screen.....
it sucks battery big time and couple with bluetooth
which sucks even more juice dont think it will last the day connected to GPRS.
