The new xda software upgrade is here !

The latest release of software for an O2 xda is

ROM version: 3.20.06 ENG
ROM date: 07/30/03
Radio: 4.21
Protocol: 32S54

Please note that after upgrading the XDA to Radio 4.21, you will not be able to revert to the previous radio software version.

Attention:
This software upgrade is not recommended for users using Indonesia Satelindo 64kB postpaid sim due to a known issue.

The new version of O2 xda software will include the following features :


Wireless Modem - The wireless modem is a program running on Pocket PC (Phone Edition) to emulate the xda as a generic wireless modem. This enables you to connect your laptop to the internet via the xda when it is activated as a modem. You may find this program in Start>Programs. You can choose between 2 connection types to connect the lap top to the xda wireless modem - serial cable or infrared. Serial cable connection is recommended for better performance. Please refer to more information provided from our user guides.

I'm interested in putting these on seen as the stability of WM2003 builds tried so far do not impress me :roll: but the site looks like it only accepts IMEI's for XDA's registered in Asia :(

I did not upload the whole file because the bootloader on this version is 6.22.

Can't manage to up-load the file. yahoo server does not acept any file size more then 5mb. :evil:

You may only upload files smaller than 5120K.

With 16mb to email, will it acept ? is there any ftp area I can upload ? Actually I had uploaded to XDA developer ftp before and hope they will upload to the kitchen but waited for months, nothing happens.

Is O.K for the radio file. But the Rom file content v6.22 bootloader which will cause you problem to flash any rom through SD reader. It is strongly not advisable to flash it under windows. that's why I only upload the nbf file which you can flash it with the SD reader. :wink:

O.K link is here. Is in EXE format. My advice is extract the pro A file and only use the nbf to flash your rom. Use XDA tools.

There is only one problem, it asks for an Asian valid IMEI.

Funny? never happen to me before. did U try to extract the exe file and use XDAtools to flash the Rom?

I'm actually using the extracted file my self. Don't worry is an Original file from XDA asia that I downloaded with my IMEI.

After extracted the nbf file use XDAtools to flash it.

This update is not meant for the UK networkm, but for the Asia network i.e. maylasia etc.

The latest release is 4.21.x1 which has been sent to O2 testers and developers, which you lucky people I am part of.

Email me at mike.gascoigne@boltblue.com and Ill email you back the ftp loation and my username and password for my personal site, which the file is located on.

I have to warn you this is a untested update, so use it at your own risk!!!
