just how remote are we talking ?

installed this shareware tvremote application

i choosed learn and did the stuff to make it work with my philips remote

i started using it and it dident work then i went really close to the tv
maybe like 30cm then it work just fine

but it's hardly a remote if i have to be that close

is this because

1 the ir is weaker then the other pocketpc's ?
2 a shareware limitation ?
3 because i teach it remote commands with my remote too close to the ir of my xda ?

the IR on the xda is quite weak, definitely not consumer grade. :wink: a bit of a bother when you want to convert to the ultimate universal remote control eh?
