Hi,

I have searched the site and found nothing that covers my question. The problem I have is that I tryed to set another email account up, it follows the normal procedure perfectly, as if it was setting the new account up. Then when completed I go into accounts and all I see is SMS and Activsync. The new account is not there and when I try to set it up again it states that the name is already in use. One other factor to consider is that I just upgraded from WM2002 to WM2003. I dont really want to downgrade or change my operating system as I have just got my XDA set up perfectly.

Rom version: 4.00.11 ENG
Radio version: 4.21.00

Hope you can help me out with this problem as I am starting to pull my hair out.

Been there seen that, try doing a soft reset and then recreate the accounts. BTW we're talking POP3 email and not Hotmail, right?

Its actually POP3 and Hotmail. I bought the hotmail add-on from pocketgear, which allows the normal inbox to download messages. This worked brilliantly on wm2002

Just another bit of information, I've soft reset the machine and it still comes up with "That name is already assigned to another account. Enter a unique name and try again". But the only account I can see is SMS, this is really weird.

Yeap like I said been there seen that and I'm sorry to say that Pocket Hotmail 2.0 is not compatible with WM2003. :(

If I remember correctly to fix your POP3 problem now you must remove Pocket Hotmail 2.0 and then do a soft reset. If that fails your next course
is a hard reset unless you have a SD backup without Pocket Hotmail 2.0.

Oh yea I forgot to mention that OneMail will be in beta starting Wed. 10/22/03 maybe if its not to late you can try to get on the team.
