I am currently running ActiveSync 3.7 with Outlook 2003 on a windows 2003 machine.

For some WEIRD reason my computer freezes every once in a while and i have to reset it, after trouble shooting the application that causes my pc to freeze is Outlook 2003, but i am wondering if it can be because it is using activesync or anything like that...

Any ideas guys?

Yes I have same configuration and similar problem.
Maybe you are right, its because of Outlook 2003. I can only synchronize once and then I have to kill activesync to synchronize my xda again. (http://www.xda-developers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3262)
Have you tried to synchronize it without outlook items? maybe only favorites or folders?

You will have to uninstall the active synch application from Control Panel.
Then go to program files and delete the directory Activesynch. Reboot.

Download AS 3.7.1 and install it. It should work and resolve the synch problem.

Also check on the settings of your USR connection ( there is a USB2 patch on Windows update that corrects the disconnecting of the USB.

Windows 2003 has USB 2 support enabled at the OS level. If you are using Office 2003 in Windows 2000, XP home or Professional you should use the "windows update" under tools in your Internet Explorer.

If you system needs it it will show as one of the OS recomended updates.
Note: also check on your firewal software and enable " connection manager" to allow listening in for TCP ports, some of which are used by MS office, Active synch USB calls and the device itself. A lot of people do not realize that the active synch comes into weird ports and their firewall blocks those calls ( Check your firewall logs to see if connection manager and activesynch attempts were blocked!)
