I have a wonderful voice commands software called "Voice Lookup" that helps giving commands to the XDA, finding contacts in no time and scheduling meetings and tasks using your voice only.

Usually, you assign a button for the software, you click it and use your voice to command.

Now I have the new i-mate XDAII with bluetooth headset profile enabled.
Can I use the bluetooth headset to give voice commands?

Or can I assign the "call handling button" of the bluetooth headset as a button? it will lunch the software when pressed.

If this is solved, it'll be a new way of life with the XDA 's.

Also am looking into this. Have got replies from Neuvoice and also Jabra who say it isn't possible but I'm sure there is a smart cookie out there who could figure it out.

Fonix is working on a solution. The MPX300 does this well with the www.voicesignal.com program. They only sell to OEM..
Maybe we should flood the shit out of them with questions and requests for it to work on the XDAII.
If we want to buy it, they may port it over.
If they want a lump sum of money, we should make a collection and give it to them. Fuck, I would pay $200 right now for this. I do not like the MPX300 small screen but I am thinking of switching to to until everyone gets the Bluetooth working right on the XDAII so hands free works right and the voice dial.

With BT voice dial and caller ID on a small device like the Jabra BT800 or Erickson HBH660 or the xLive mp3 http://www.expansys-usa.com/product.asp?code=116333 one that is kind of like the Erickson HBH220; we can leave our devices in our pockets or in our back packs or pouches; we can see who is calling and make calls with no wires and by only pressing a button and we can see who is calling.

This is an awesome thing.

I am tempted to give up my big screen and faster CPU and large amount of RAM on the XDAII to switch to the MPX300 because it supports these things.

I have tried every OS for the XDAII, 2005 works great but there are other bugs. 2.20 works but it is so buggy, I would have to disable call waiting and the caller ID will not display the number after the number has already been displayed once or it it in your contacts.

Lets give a try, lets email the fuck out of voicesignal and call them.
Together we may make a difference.
