I was in the middle of an flash backup (the one that saves your settings in case the battery goes dead I think?) and pressed the cancel button then my XDA just hung. So i did a soft reset and now all i get is the xda-developers.com rom image and it wont go any further. I have tried a hard reset but still get the same results. Have done soft reset as well and same happens. Have a broken it or have I wiped something from the ROM. Is is just a case of reloading the rom again from the SD card? I have downloaded a rom version onto sd card but cant seem to get the xda to read from sd card. It just offers me the option to copy to sd not from sd card. :(
Any help much appreciated

If the sd card that was in the xda was the same one that you backed up your rom to, it is now useless for the purpose of restoring the rom. The backup program on the xda would have overwritten the backup from the bootloader as far as I know so you will need to write the sd card again using tools available on the forum in conjunction with sd card reader/writer.

I have downloaded a different rom version from Jeffs kitchen onto sd card but cant seem to get the xda to read from sd card. It just offers me the option to copy to sd not from sd card. There is no option to write it to the xda. Am i missing something obvious on the xda re which buttons to press to do this?

You cant just copy the file to sd, it has to be written to the card using tools available on the forum, if it written correctl the xda will see it when in bootloader mode and will write it to rom once you confirm that you want it to.

xdatools didnt copy across the files correctly (or I messed them up somehow which is more likley!).
