This is only the CE part of the device, not the bootloader.

Try to create a SD image using XRArit. Working fine for me.

regards,

PS: Aaaaaaaah, yes, sorry for the IE 6 based page. The site was not designed to share files, just pic's for some friends.

got it to work....

start OSImageTool with -f in commandline.. (no filesize checking)

Yeah WM2003 german, thats what i waited for... so no need for XDA2!

Can I use English language instead of German language with this ROM backup? Thanks.

koponet
1st December 2003, 08:48 PM
No, there is now way to switch from one language to another.

This file is just a backup of the current production release, shipped with the MDA 1 in Germany.

Last week, T Mobile announced (press release) the availability of a "public WM 2003 update" for the MDA 1 for the middle of december.

Don't know if you're using TomTom or TomTom2, TomTom2 is working fine with mine ;)
The only thing im mad about is the illumination of the MDA, it's not working again, and for making it work again I have to reset the MDA, sometimes it needs a hard-reset becaus the MDA is hanging up while booting after a softreset...
Anybody's got an idea of whats going wrong?

Bye,
Dennis.

Hello Dennis.
Which Software do you want to have in your ROM.
Played a little bit with the kitchen and teh rom, and it looks quite good.
At the moment there a just a view problems with some programs added in the kitchen. (For example PocketNav created a shortcut in Startup and not in Autostart....)
Maybe I'm able to cook you your own ROM....
Best way will be sending me a PM...

Where can I found this newer version?
On xda-developers.com is only a version without the parameter -f.

Thanks

I use TomTom2 no sucess, but i had no problems with
the light! Tomtom is showing the circle (PowerPc Sandwatch)
infinitly. Only Software Reset helps.

I tried TomTom2 Version 2.24 with GPS 2.05

Maybe you have to upgrade your GPS-Version. Latest is 2.08. Don't know exactly which version supports WM2003

Jason,

there is no need to downgrade to 2002.
Just upgrade to TomTom 2.04 adn GPS 2.08, format your SD Card and re-install the maps. Try to start without any additional POI files.
This should fix your problem.
After this, the TT 2 was running fine on my MDA with this ROM.

Thank You!
The new GPS Driver 2.08 was the key to a Working TOMTOM 2
with WM2003 german. :P  :D

Try pushing the ON/OFF Button long. Is light going on?

Cu Jason 0815

P.S. Try under "Einstellungen/Hintergrundbeleuchtung" a different
setting bei "Batteriebetrieb"

P.S. Try under "Einstellungen/Hintergrundbeleuchtung" a different
setting bei "Batteriebetrieb"Yes, I can switch on the lights by pressing the powerbutton. Modifying the settings in "Einstellungen/Hintergrundbeleuchtung" doesn't make any difference.
If this phenomenom appears more often only a reset does help.

Bye, Dennis.

Thanks for the screen shots koponet!

I noticed that there is a Today plug-in for T-Zones and a Start menu icon for MMS are they built-in? If so I wonder if they will be included in the US release.

>regards,

The T-Zones plug in was already a part of the german WM 2002, the MMS application is now "pre-installed" (a part of the rom).
You can also download this MMS application for WM 2002 on the german T-Mobile website.
