Why baud rate frozen at 19200 on Qtek?

Why is the GPRS baud rate fixed to 19200: even if I select another one(Start>Setting>Connextions>Modify>selectconnection name> baud rate>next>finish), it always comes back to 19200. I did not have this problem on iPAQ.

Does this 19200 bps max default setting impact or limit actual bandwith ?

this setting has no impact on the actual GPRS speed ... you can test your GPRS connection by browsing this page from your XDA
www.texan.net/speed.htm ... you must do Refresh more than once to get the actual result.
