Can anybody tell me how to use the infrared port for TOMTOM navigator, I am able to use it on all the ipaqs that I have including 3630, 1910, 3850, 3870, 3970 etc, in the drop down list for gps settings on the ipaq it shows one as "generic irda", and works fine, however in the xda settings for gps under tomtom it shows "infrared port", if I choose it I get a slow down of system and eventual lockup, is there something different about the ports or protocol? maybe the speed, any help greatly appreciated as I am trying to run wireless without bluetooth and irda seemed the way to do it. . The ir port works perfectly for file transfer etc. Thanks in advance.
