View Full Version : MDA/XDA Doesn't Autosync over USB After PC Hibernates

Ever since upgrading to Autosync 3.7.1 I've found that I cannot Autosync after my PC (Thinkpad 600X / Windows 2000 Prof) comes out of hibernation. My T-Mobile PPCPE cradle is connected to the USB on my Thinkpad docking station at the office. Normally when I leave my office I just undock the notebook and then hibernate it. After I work at home I just hibernate it again and then plug it into the docking station when I get to the office and go.

Since Autosync 3.7.1, whenever I do this when I plug the PPCPE into the cradle Autosync does not find the device. Even the "Get Connected" function does not find it even though it scans the COM ports and USB and shows the USB is available (I know the USB is working as I have a desktop scanner connected to USB and it recovers find when I plug in).

If I restart the notbook from power-off everything is fine, just if it starts from hibernate. Anyone seen this behavior and have a solution?

I had the EXACT same problems under 3.7 when using the cradle and my HP laptop on W2K Pro. Was never able to resolve. I've been pretty mobile lately, haven't had the laptop in the dock for a few months, so I do all my synching via IrDA now.

Unfortunately, I was never able to resolve the issue, I'm sure if I was back on my dock, it would still be happening. I am making the switch to XP Pro this week, I'll let you know if that eliminates the problem.
