My Qtek2020 is linked to a bluetooth headset and the bluetooth setting is "on"; i was very surprised that after a full day outside after roughly 6 or 7hours, the battery which was full showed almost a total depletion of energy; Is there any way to get an "automatic" bluetooth mode on the Qtek2020 that would switch the bluetooth on only when needed or requested by the qTEK when an incoming phone is directed to the bluetooth headset or any way to implement bluettoth energy saving modes, as was done on the Spve200 or Qtek8080 by the people of Modaco; I also own a Spve200 and the tweaking of bluetooth modes they implemented is rather efficent and energy saving
Awaiting yourinput and tweaks for our <qtek2020 IMate, Mda2, i remain, Arnaud

Get a new battery. I have BT on 24/7 and charge twice a day, at most....

Thanks, i have already ordered two and i'm waiting for the delivery; You say you charge at most 2 times a day, could you tell me the time that elapses in bluetooth use from the first full charge until the battery low indication appears for the first time on the headset so i can have a better idea of the ranking of mine? Could you also tell me if your mobile network uses 1800 or 900 MHZ, because that could have a certain importance; Fyi Bouygues Telecom, one of my french networks, is a full 1800 mhz network;
Thanking you in advance, i remain

No idea if my mobile network is 900 or 1800 MHz, i'm on T-mobil ein Holland...
I never see the battery low indicator ! In standby i app. use 20% of the battery in 4 hours... So full changed in the morning, of to work (in the car on charger) and afre 8-9 huors on 50-60% And back home in the car on the charger...

Update :
Last nigh at 01:00 batterystate was at 92%
I left the device on the table with BT on.
Switched my HBH-35 BT headset off.
This morning at 10:00 the batterystat was at 78% !!
So on standby only 24% in 9 hours !!
Dunno if the XDA/MDA II uses more power if the Headset is switched on...
Does the XDA/MDA II keep a connection with a paired headset that is withing range ?

Thankyou very much for your continuous follow-up of this topic; I imagine that when both the Xda2 and the bluetooth headset are on , the energy drawn is higher than when only the Xda2 is on, as i think, but am not sure, that the bonded devices keep regurlarly interrogating each other to find about their whereabouts; But again that is pure supposition.
What i have noticed is that on my Qtek2020, with a full night's charge with the radio part off as well as the pda part off, Omega's one Battery indicator shows a figure around 7hours of available usage; When i switch the bluetooth headset and the bluetooth headset profile on the phone and hold a few conversations, lasting, let's say 30 min max, the indicated figure is pretty much close to 3 hours or so;
One good point is that if i put the phone on the craddle to charge-it , the the figure climbs , after also roughly 30 minutes ,to 5 available hours and still rising;
Are these figures in bluetooth headset bonded mode normal and close to normality or are these figures abnormal; If the latter case, what can be done to regenerate the battery while i wait for the additionnal ones i have ordered?
Last question: Tmobile' site offers also the former Xda1 batterypack and states that is compatible with XDA2; Is this the case, as this could also be a working solution to enhance the battery lifetime when you are away from your battery charger or craddle;
Thanking you in advance, once again, for all your valuable time and useful informations, i remain, Brgds, Arnaud

I expect the same, since the batt. useage is higer at daytime. but that might also be because i'm not fetching mail and adding apointments at night :lol:

Ditch the remaining battery useage time, it sucks, even after chargeing it managed tot show a _lower_ usage then before ! juts look at the percentage, and *know* how long it will last in stanby...

Like i said, i only use and want to know the percentage...

Ofcourse, but i'd rather go for the XDA/MDA II Backpack and get a CF-slot and VGA-out as an extra !! :lol: Afaik it costs € 170,= (app. $ 150,= ?)

Well if you are getting 5 hours on the battery, that is great, mine at 100% charge, phone on but NO BT, shows only 3 hours and this rapidly climbs down during the course of the day. Is this normal? Cause I have to charge it once again every evening around 4 pm to make it through the day till I hit bed.

The no# of hours remaining is an average on the past usage of the battery. Hence, i don't trust the figure...
