Hello All,
I know a lot of you have been waiting for further information on the progress of unlocking an XDA II. Unfortunately there were some physical set-backs nothing to do with phones and gadgets.
Currently there have been some promising developments for this we again need some test subjects. They need to be capable of doing the following (Only for LOCKED devices!):
1. Backup your data and test the restore procedure!
2. Get a small tool to dump some internal information from the phone: xda2dmp.exe. Available at http://www.xs4all.nl/~itsme/projects/xda/xda-ii.html
3. Disable USB in your activesync program. (Connection settings)
4. Go to bootloader mode of the XDA II by pressing power, Jog pad and resetting. The display shows 'Serial" (Note: this causes a hard reset and looses your data!)
5. Cradle the device (display should now show USB)
6. Your PC might now show it found a new USB device.
7. Go to a Command Box and type the folowing two commands:
xda2dmp -r -4 -u 0x3fc302 8
xda2dmp -r -4 -u 0x3fe302 8
8. Send these values to me.
Again this is only needed for locked devices!
Thanks a bunch
