Yep all new phones from Nokia especially ones with Symbian OS have a standard 32MB MMC card such as the new N-Gage and the 6600.

1: because nokia are crap
2: because they are loosing their market as sony and samsung are taking over
3: because they have stupid designed phones
4: because mmc is smaller by bout 1mm
5: i dunno really but these are my answers
oh and..
6: because nokia will never have a symbian phone that doesnt crash every hour lol

most likely because they dont need the features that SD ofer over a mmc
and i'm not speaking about size or IO support but about
the secure digital part which is crypting support
messed a bit around with a nokia 3300 it also have a mmc card and cant use sd
also the mmc card have to be put in under the batt so you have to pretty much disasm the phone to change mmc card
most likely mmc cards cost a bit less to produce then sd cards or used to and thats the reason why nokia dont use them apart from the no need for cryptographic

MMC is faster than SD cards, the read/ write speed differs.
