USB charging VS. AC adapter on XDA II

Are there any disadvantages on USB charging over the supplied charger? Why would one need the AC adapter connected to the cradle when the PC-connected cradle already charges the phone?

Does anyone know if the Ipaq charger works for the xda II? thanks much

suppose it's easyer to bring the cable with you then the cradle

a usb port have 500mAmp juice if you have a unpowered hub and other usb devices you may run into some devices not having enough power to run
