Storing SMS and mail on Storage or Storage Card

I have just lost a number of SMS'es from my girlfriend (sob), the XDA II performed a hard reset.

How do I make the device save SMS and e-mail on the storage area or on the storage card ? - the only option I can find is to store attachments on the storage card.

Alternatively, is there a neat back-up solution ?

I did not spend much time on the software, but I was unable to get it to read any of the SMS'es.

There ought to be a registry hack to move the SMS database to storage ?

good I am using XDA I so far .... I have lost SMS list twice already but due to my mistake ... now I am happy using Yorch.net software

I have been asking about the same functionality for XDA II - so far without any luck

unfortunately your link is not working ...

and everybody is interested in yorch software, and nobody could make it working. i'm not the exception and need your assistance in setting up yorch soft properly.

please help, it would be great help to whole forum
