Sandisk SD wi-fi card is quite easy to be installed on my xda II. However, I can only connect to my buffalo G54 access point (802.11b/g) with only 1Mb/s (shown in the wi-fi network status) even 1 feet away from the access point
Supposingly, it can have 11Mb/s????
Do I need to set my XDA II or my access point

I have the XDA II and sandisk WiFi, it connects at 11, but the SDIO throughput is not even 256kbs so why bother about it connecting at 1Mb??

You can get them on eBay, from the US or Honk Kong.
checkout www.ebay.co.uk or your countries equivalent, one seller I know is BlueProton1

www.eCost.com has them for US$95. Most electronic web sites will have this, i.e. MobilePlanet.com.
Sandisk is due to release a new SD WiFi+128M card in 1Q04. WiFi and a bit a memory in the SDIO slot.

Hi,
It looks like a few of you have managed to get the SanDisk to work in your XDA2...
I'm trying to get mine to work in the following configuration:
Peer to Peer Wireless Lan
Laptop running Win2k Server
Wireless PC Card - Belkin 54g
Fixed IP Address on both Laptop and XDA
I can see the network name on the SanDisk Configuration, so it has found the laptops network, but I can't ping from the SanDisk utility nor generate any activity. The ping returns not found... 100% packet loss.
It isn't trying to go out over GPRS, so I'm happy with the network setup, I think.. :?
Any help or guidance would be appreciated...
Thanks
Richard

Has anyone heard about a problem the SanDisk SD WiFi card has, on XDA2, connecting to a combo 802.11b/g router? Don't know if it's on the router end or SanDisk end? Apparently, if it's only a 802.11b router, there's not a problem.
I'm ready to get a home wireless router in the next couple of weeks and am trying to decide whether a 802.11b/g combo or just a 802.11b
Thanks

plandregan,
where did you get figures on the sandisk wi-fi performance? did you measure it somehow? if yes - please kindly point me to the tool (I wish I had `ttcp' for PPC2003, but did not find any). I was trying to use xda-ii as wireless mp3 player and failed - all mp3s do 'click' as if there was not enough bandwidth.
