I have had a long battle to get Activsync to connect and I think I have found the answer.
I did a backup to SD and then reconnected after a hard reboot. The connection worked OK. However, after restoring from the SD it would not connect.
I am going to copy the Card to a PC and put the components back one at a time and see where the problem is.
