I checked the website:
http://www.t-mobile.com/products/handhelds/pocketpc/downloads.asp

It used to give me a HTTP 500 Internal server error.

Now, it's functioning, but says:
"There was an error in processing your request. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Please try your action again or try again at a later time."

They may be getting ready to upload it?

Not sure. I just like starting rumors, I guess.

Nope, its the same type of error, just a different message. There is no page there, I don't think they will post a page there. When its released it will probably be posted somewhere else on the site.

German T-Mobile set their release date to end of february.

It has first been on beginning of Januar, than end of februar, and now that...

On 23. Dec 2003 they announced the release on the 29. Dec 2003.
In the first week of January 2004 they announced the release on "begin of January"
In the third week of January 2004 they announced the release on "end of January"
In the first week of February 2004 they announce the release on "end of February"

They didn't announce a year, though.

After the att rom came out, I called tmobile and asked directly when WM2003 would be available. After having my call escalated until I was finally speaking with one of the PPC Phone and internet connectivity tech, they informed me that it would not be until end of May to the middle of June.

Needless too add, I installed the Siemens Rom. No worries so far. It works so good, hey, maybe I'll just pickup the AT&T service too...

Don't be surprised if the code shows up earlier. I have heard dates that are MUCH closer in than what you are quoting. And that info came from the T-Mobile Product Manager.

Product Manager have always the opinion, that it will be there soon, and that there is no technical problem. Thats an problem alll Techies have....

Can anyone provide insight in light of similar upgrades from other carriers? WM2003 4.00.33 is said to contain the "Wireless Modem" application but 4.00.05 ENG ROM from O2 is said not to contain it(http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=5751). Confusing to me.

This application enables us to use the XDA as a wireless modem for our laptop to access the Internet anywhere with 40Kbps GPRS speed.

I installed the update on my t-mobile, i did not however use their radio stack. I'm using the latest RUU for t-mobile 6.24.01 and the rom from AT&T A.30.09. Works Great, just use the SD card method after extracting the rom file from the exe.
