Iīve a pocket pc SX_56 bought in USA, e-bay.
This is one PW10B1 (serieal number in the back of device)
But the ROM says PW10A1.
I try use it in Brazil, but i canīt, itīs lock.
The system donīt cach the signal.
Then i try upgrade the ROM (xda-developers.com) and now the device is unlock,
but donīt recognize the signal.
Whatīs the best solucion? If i upgrade the sistem will it work?
Thankīs.
Best regards

ps. Will it force-upgrade my radio stack?
I presume this is for US market. So it will be on 1900.
Its shown on the website that it can be "Auto band selection when traveling overseas", so does I can use the 900/1800 band when in Brazil(my country)?

You can enter bootloader and choose 900/1800 but you might have little success, the xda is a dual band phone 900/1900 or 900/1800 not triband.

Then it's a PW10B device (900/1900 MHz) .. forget what's written in device info.

Check with your operator which band width to use and use the GSM menu in the bootloader accordingly.

I know, it's a silly question, but I'd like to see what band width I am on.

Thanks :)

unfortunately, I 'm not aware of an accurate way to 100% positively determin this. Only in TMO 4.01.00 ROM there is a band selector in the phone settings but I can't trust it that much.

Usually people get the right band from the operator and select it from the GSM menu which has no indicator for what is the current band.

Maybe it's something to be added to the wishlist of WM2004
