in car mp3 player

hi..i have an xda1...hopefully soon an xda 11...and the original car kit.
My new car has a jvc head unit with a front mounted aux input jack. so....whats the best way to connect the car kit directly to the head unit?...i have a lot of mp3 files....and i figure this would be the best way..as the supplied speaker is shit. what size sd card is practical to do this......ie....to hold several hours off music?

May not be what you are after but...

I use an iSound FM transmitter (available from http://www.seidioonline.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=SFTF1 ) connected to my XDA II. It allows me to tune my Car Stereo into the transmitter's frequency then listen to MP3's being played by the XDA II.

I have a 512mB SD card.
