Does anybody know of a way to disable the phone and bluetooth indicator lights, but to keep the devices both on?
It's seems like an obvious way to conserve battery power on the XDA II...

Hmmm, I'm not much concerned about the power savings...
But when I go to bed, I put my XDAII on my bedroom table, and especially the bluetooth flashlight resembles a Boeing 747 landing-light. :D
Seeing the blue flashes on the ceiling always reminds me to turn of BT
don't worry about these two leds, they do not consume an meassurable amount of energy.
Get ride of the callerID stuff, this really saves power..

Really save a lot of power? You sure?
IACallerID is programmed pretty poor, it runs permantaly in the background, generates a lot if events ( at least to first version, I never tried a new release)
I will find several postings in the forum from happy people being rid of it.
And if you don't use it, you can also get ride of it, I always can connect a
name to a picture in my mind ;-)

A small sticker would do the job of covering up the lights.

I'm sure a sticker would do fine......
I don't think that would help conserve the battery though !

No it wouldnt but it would stop the annoying flashing.
The only reason I actually keep caller ID running is because of the ability to increase the font.....to make it clear to view the caller
do you know of any registry settings to change the font on the regular phone pop up? (and in reading and writing SMS , but that's besides the point!!)
