o2 connection toolbar thing, position middle/left since 1.6r

Hi gang,

Do you know what I mean by "o2 connection toolbar thing" ?? It's the o2 logo at the top, it can be positioned middle or left, I prefer left, but since upgrading to 1.6rom it won't stay left after reboots, anyone know how to fix this????

I am also having the same problem with my device. Already called o2 but they didn't even know about that bug. So I am writing down what I found out, maybe there is a solution for that:

I already identified the registry key that is responsible for the positioning, but there must be a program overwriting it after softreset. So I am waiting for o2 to create a bugfix for that.

Another possibility is to check why this happens. I cannot image that this is a permanent bug on every XDAII, because a bug like this would have been obvious and fixed during beta testing. So maybe there is a special software configuration or a special series where this bug occurs.

I have already installed the official (unmodified) o2 ROM that was designed for my device and also had this bug. So there seems to be no connection to a modified ExtROM and/or specific software installed...

if you click and hold the stylus on the 02 logo you have the option to move it back to it's original position before the upgrade

the real problem is:
make a soft-reset and it's again in the middle...
that is what sucks.

ooooh, i see now, yep i have that problem

only pointed out the above because a colleague at work couldn't work it out!
