Like it says - I want a broken xda with the bottom connector intact.
OR - I'd settle for the bottom connector on its own!
(the bit that the power/usb stuff plugs into ON the xda)
willing to pay - but not very much - so suggest the xda is very broken or insurance write off (i.e. blocked in UK).

Might be the same one, if so one off a SPV will be the same, also you planning of resoldering this on yourself as the last time I tried to do something like that (end connector on a A300) I more or less killed the phone (thank god for spare/dead hand sets :D ).

SPV - which version - do you know?
I was planning on soldering - but looking at it - it looks a bit hard!
Was going to 'try' just connecting the connections I need...
Power and USB - only about 5 things need soldering.
Even then, wasn't going to solder, was going to superglue in place, then apply liquid connecting fluid (silver based, used for repairing pcb's) using a very fine syringe (<0.2mm - narrower than the actual connections, using micro scope!
Any other suggestions on how I maight do this?

cheers

Roger

Sounds like you will kill your PDA too.
I suggest you resort to sync with IR.
Getting an IR adapter for your PC is a lot simpler and almost without risk.
Or can you not power it at all?

All version of the SPV as they all use the same one, glueing might be your best bet, but in time it will crack and then you will have to solder, try and find a phone repair shop near you and ask to see how much they will charge or get the part and phone up the XDA center and get them to do it. (go to your local O2 shop for the XDA centers number).

I just sold a complete working xda motherboard for £25, maybe that would be a better route for you.
