I am on the verge of picking up an Audiovox PPC5050 (http://www.audiovox.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=13074&langId=-1) otherwise known as the HTC 'Falcon', due in stock (http://www.bell.ca/shop/application/commercewf?origin=browse_cellphone.jsp&event=link(productDetail)&wlcs_catalog_item_sku=60956&toGoEvent=submitFromDetail) at my local Bell Mobility dealer in a week or so -- and I've been scouring the net for definitive resources and opinions on the device, coming up rather dry and increasingly vexed at all the wild speculation, confusion and outright heresay, even in early reviews.
This forum looks like the definitive resource for all things XDA, and I am wondering if it will be a recognized model, provided enough owners start washing up here.
Visually, its closer to the HTC 'Wallaby' (XDA1) but specifications (see below) put it much closer to the 'Himalaya' (XDA2) -- so of course I'm imagining that XDA2-related posts will be more applicable to the Falcon?
I've got a handful of questions that I'm hoping the gurus here will be able to answer, but this is the toe in the water before I get flamed out for bringing a bastard child (XDA1.5 perhaps?) to the table.
Here's hoping the "Audiovox" logo  scratches off cleanly...
