O2 is stupid, i cant even use GPRS on a pay and go tarrif and even if i could it would cost about £3 per meg... seems very overpriced. Especially since my old 7210 used GPRS for free (only wap not full)

GPRS costs are another rip off from the phone companies.

The only O2 bolt on I know of is £8 for 5MB which still isnt that good tbh.I was told by the 'offshore' call centre staff in an Email that there is a new £4 bundle of 5MB.
I asked them to add it, they said "ring the number for sales"
I said "not sales surely, how can they help"
They emailed back - "ring sales"
So I instead RANG customer services at 50ppm. They said no such thing. I said I was told it exists in an email, so I want it.
They said they'd have to ring me back.
They rang me back to say no such thing. So I said I want the cost of my call refunded.
They said, sorry no.
I said, its not negotiable - O2 have categorically told me it is available, and I have the email to prove it, and ou are now telling me that is incorrect information. If so, O2's wrong information resulted in an extremely expensive call to yourselves. I want it refunded, and I want it refunded right now - speak to your supervisor, right now, and refund it, not negotiable, not for discussion, get it done and get it done now 0 this is bloody disgusting - GET IT REFUNDED.
They refunded it there and then.
So I then Emailed back to OFFSHORE Email customer services asking for clarification.
They once again said "ring sales"
So I emailed back to say "sales can;t help me, they are for handset sales only"
Email back: "ring sales"
So, I DID ring sales. And even the pre answer voicemail prompts say "for NEW customers only" Nevertheless, I waited to be answered. And was told that sales have nothing whatsoever to do with after sales add ons such as tariff bundles.
SO I emailed Offshore customer support to tell them this.
And got a humble pie email back very apologetic. And more importantly, saying that the £4, 5MB GPRS bundle had now been added to my account!!!
That was over a month ago.
My bill came in yesterday...
And it has a charge for GPRS bundle, of £8.51 BEFORE VAT on it.
Needless to say, I have once again Emailed OFFSHORE customer support, and expect yet another month long quest to get this sorted...
O2 - totally useless!

In CZ there is a unlimited GPRS tarif (unlimiter data, unlimited time) for 18EUR, 12GPB per month - it supports GPRS CS4 (80kbps) and soon EDGE (200kbps). The speed can be doubled by "T-Mobile GPRS Speed Plus".
